The 1st Event of ISSA 2018 World Series will be organized by Federação Portuguesa de Paraquedismo (F.P.Pq.), the Portuguese Federation of Parachuting.
The 1st Event of ISSA 2018 World Series will be held at:

Note 1: the Organization of the 1st Event of ISSA 2018 World Series (20-22 April 2018) will not provide any kind of accommodation and transportation to any competitor and/or accompanying person on this Event.
Note 2: there's a protocol that provides special accommodation prices to parachutists; to benefit of this protocol competitors must mention it (checkbox) on registration.
Dates and schedule
The 1st Event of ISSA 2018 World Series will take place from Friday the 20th to Sunday the 22nd of April 2018.
Arrival: 19th of April 2018, during all day.
1st Competitor Meeting: 20th of April 2018 at 9:00 hours.
Competition starts: 20th of April 2018 at 10:30 hours.
Competition ends: 22nd of April 2018 at 15:30 hours.
Award Ceremony: App. 1 hour after the end of competition.
Entry Fee: 50 €
Payment method: as stated in the Invitation document (under Menu "Documents" item).
Entry Fee includes: T-shirt, lunch snacks, farewell barbecue.
Competition and other jumps
Competition and other jumps are paid directly to the operator.
Entry Fee payback
Full payback until the end of 19-April-2018; no payback from the beginning of 20-April-2018.
Parachuting License - same as for FAI 1st Category Event.
Mandatory use of AAD.
Parachuting insurance covering.
Speed Skydiving, 8 rounds, rules according to the currently applicable ISSA Speed Skydiving World Series Rules and the FAI/IPC Sporting Code and Competition Rules for Speed Skydiving.
Can be done before the start of the competition.
Dornier G92, Cessna C208B Supercaravan.
The International Speed Skydiving Association (ISSA) is an association of Speed Skydiving enthusiasts. The ISSA is a Non-registered not for profit
organization with the goal to develop the sport, to organize annual world series events and to promote Speed Skydiving.
Arrival and Departure
Faro International Airport (FAO), (most recommended; best option).
Faro International Airport (FAO) is 73 km away from the Drop Zone and it will take about 50 minutes by car (without traffic) to get there.
The Faro Train and Bus Stations (same location) are 7 km away from the airport (about 12 minutes by taxi). From there you can take a Train or a Bus to Portimão, and then a taxi to your hotel.
Lisbon International Airport (LIS), (recommended; 2nd best option).
Lisbon International Airport (LIS) is the portuguese airport with the most air traffic, also the main airport. There are lots of air travel options with lots of Airlines.
Arriving to Lisbon, you have to take a transport to Portimão (about 3,5 hours drive).
Any competitor willing to choose other options, different from the above mentioned, may have more difficulties and/or longer way to travel.

Driving in Portugal
Driving in Portugal is very similar to any other european country. Cars normally have manual gear shift. The speed limits are: 50 km/h on urban areas, 90 km/h on country roads and 120 km/h on motorways (Auto-estradas).
